6

Import Demo Content

Choose your preferred demo layout and click Import Demo. The process takes 5–10 minutes depending on server speed.

7

Setup Completed

After import finishes you can customize your theme, edit imported pages, or return to the WordPress dashboard.

After Import: Elementor Setup

Must Do: Enable responsive breakpoints in Elementor after demo import — layouts may break on mobile without this step.
1

Replace the Demo URL After Import

Go to Elementor → Tools → Replace URL. In the Old URL field paste:

https://decoria.steelthemes.com/demo/

In the New URL field enter your own site URL (e.g. https://yourdomain.com), then click Replace URL.

Important: Backup your database before running Replace URL — this action updates the entire database and cannot be automatically undone.
2

Enable All Breakpoints

Go to Elementor → Settings → Style → Breakpoints. Turn on: Mobile, Mobile Extra, Tablet, Tablet Extra, Laptop, Widescreen.

3

Regenerate CSS

Go to Elementor → Tools → Regenerate CSS & Data and click the button to rebuild all stylesheets.

4

Enable Container

Go to Elementor → Settings → Features → Container. Change Default to Active, then click Save Changes.

5

Troubleshoot if Needed

Use Elementor → Tools → Safe Mode to isolate plugin conflicts after import.

Set Frontpage & Blog

Go to Settings → Reading and set "Your homepage displays" to A static page.

Homepage

Select the imported Home page as your static homepage.

Blog Page

Select the imported Blog page as the Posts page.

404 Page, Maintenance Mode & Site Cookies

Decoria lets you create custom 404 and Maintenance / Coming Soon pages using Elementor Blocks and activate them from Theme Options.

1

Create a Block with Elementor

Go to Decoria → Blocks → Add New Blocks. Enter a title (e.g. "404 Page" or "Maintenance Mode"), click Edit with Elementor, design your page, then Publish.

2

Enable the 404 Page

Go to Decoria → Steelthemes Options → 404 / Maintenance / Cookies Settings → 404 Page Settings. Enable Enable 404 Mode, select your block, and click Save Changes.

3

Enable Maintenance Mode

In the same panel, enable Enable Maintenance Mode and select your maintenance block. Logged-in administrators can still access the site normally.

4

Cookie Notice (GDPR)

In the same panel, enable Enable Cookies Notice. Customise the message text, accept button label, and consent settings.

Template Usage

Decoria provides four page templates to control layout and page title visibility. Select from Page Settings → Template.

Home Full Width No Title

Full-width layout, no page title or breadcrumb. For homepages and landing pages.

Decoria Full Width With Title

Full-width layout with page title and breadcrumb. Ideal for service and project pages.

Decoria Boxed With Title

Centered boxed layout with page title and breadcrumb. Suitable for standard pages and blog posts.

Boxed No Title

Boxed layout without page title or breadcrumb. For custom Elementor landing pages.

1

Open the Page / Post Editor

Go to Pages → Add New or open an existing page in the WordPress editor.

2

Select a Template

In the Page Settings panel (right sidebar), find the Template dropdown and select your desired Decoria template.

3

Publish & Edit with Elementor

Click Update / Publish, then click Edit with Elementor to begin designing.

Page Title Background & Breadcrumb

Customise globally via Decoria → Steelthemes Theme Options → Page Title / Breadcrumb: background image/colour, overlay opacity, text alignment, breadcrumb style, and title colours. Override per-page via the Decoria Page Options meta box on any page or post.

Adding Widgets

Decoria provides several dedicated widget areas (sidebars) that you can populate with classic widgets or custom blocks. Go to Appearance → Widgets in your WordPress dashboard to manage them.

Important: Most Decoria demos use Elementor sections & containers for layout instead of classic sidebars. Widget areas are mainly useful when:
  • you are using a page/post template that includes a sidebar (Default layout with sidebar enabled)
  • you want classic widgets in footer columns
  • you are building very lightweight pages without Elementor

Available Sidebar / Widget Areas

Blog Sidebar

Appears on blog archive, category, tag, and single post pages when sidebar layout is enabled.

How to Add Widgets / Blocks

1
Open the Widgets screen

Go to Appearance → Widgets

2
Choose a sidebar area

Locate one of the areas listed above (e.g. "Blog Sidebar", "Shop Sidebar", "Page Sidebar"). Click to expand it.

3
Add content – two ways:

Option A – Classic Widgets
Drag any available widget (Search, Recent Posts, Categories, Custom HTML, etc.) from the left panel into the sidebar area.

Option B – Block-based widgets (recommended)
Click the + button inside the sidebar area → choose Blocks tab → insert any block you want (Paragraph, Heading, Image, Buttons, Latest Posts, Spacer, Group, Columns, etc.).

4
Arrange & customize

Drag widgets/blocks up/down to reorder them. Click each block/widget to adjust settings (colors, spacing, visibility, etc.).

5
Save / Preview

Changes are saved automatically in most cases. Visit a page that uses the corresponding sidebar layout to see the result.

Pro tip: For modern designs we usually recommend using Elementor sections/widgets directly in the page builder instead of classic sidebars — except for very specific sidebar layouts.

Build Shop Page with Decoria Builder

Decoria includes a dedicated Decoria Product Builder powered by Elementor, letting you design your product archive page visually instead of using the default WooCommerce layout. The builder is accessible from Decoria Product Builder in the WordPress admin sidebar.

1

Create an Archive Template

In the WordPress admin sidebar go to Decoria Product Builder → Product Archive Templates. Click Add New Archive Template at the top, enter a template name, then click Edit with Elementor to open the canvas.

2

Add Shop Archive Widgets

From the Elementor panel, drag in the following Decoria shop widgets and arrange them as needed:

Product Archive

The main product grid — renders the live WooCommerce product loop with all Theme Options applied (columns, badges, hover, etc.).

Product Archive Filter

Sidebar-style or inline filter panel. Controlled by the Filter Type setting in Theme Options (Type 1 with sidebar / Type 2 without sidebar).

Active Filters

Displays currently applied filters as removable tags so customers can see and clear active selections.

Shop Header (Woo Header)

Shows results count, sort dropdown, grid/list view switcher, and products-per-page selector.

Shop Sidebar

Renders the WooCommerce sidebar widget area — use with Filter Type 1.

3

Publish the Template

Click Publish in Elementor to save the template. The template status will show as Inactive until you assign it in the next step.

4

Assign the Template

Go to Decoria Product Builder → Settings. Under Select Archive Template (Shop/Category), choose your newly created template from the dropdown, then click Save Template Selections. The template will now be applied to all WooCommerce shop and product category/tag archive pages.

Settings page quick actions: From Decoria Product Builder → Settings you can also click Edit with Elementor to modify any template directly, or Test on Shop to preview it on your live shop page without activating it globally.
Important: Publishing a template in Elementor does not automatically activate it. You must always go to Decoria Product Builder → Settings and save your template selection for it to go live.

Build Shop Detail Page (Single Product)

Create a fully custom single product layout using Elementor. Each widget maps to a specific WooCommerce product element.

1

Create a Single Product Template

Both Single Product Templates and Archive Templates are listed together on this page.

Add Products
